Pamper Your Valentine With Pieces From Pame

- Thursday, January 23, 2014

Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it. The holiday of love falls on a Friday this year, so plan a special night out on the town with your sweetheart. Once you’ve made dinner reservations and ordered some roses from the florist, the only thing left to do is pick out the perfect gift. You can never go wrong with jewelry, of course, and our Boho style jewelry will be appreciated by any stylish maven.

We offer a large variety of jewelry designs, so finding the right piece for your special someone may not be easy. To help narrow it down, we’ll give you a glimpse of some of our most popular and versatile pieces. Go with your instinct, but know that any piece you pick will be appreciated. After all, the point is to let her know you care.

- If you’re on a budget, treat your trendy valentine to a Zig Zag Bangle. She’ll be able to stack it with skinny bangles or wear it alone as a casual everyday staple. This bangle is priced at $50 but it looks like it costs a lot more.

- One of our charm necklaces is also a solid budget-friendly pick. Choose from a Moon Charm Necklace, a Swirl Charm Necklace or a Star Charm Necklace. Any free-spirited fashionista will appreciate its simple, stylish design.

- Named especially for the upcoming holiday, the Valentine Freshwater Pearl Wrap is a chic choice for any woman who likes to wear pearls. Eight Freshwater pearls combine with a pewter heart on brandy-colored leather, hanging at 16” long (18” if you count the dangling heart). She can wear the Valentine Freshwater Pearl Wrap as a necklace, bracelet or a choker and it looks lovely in any season.

- Does your valentine have an urban, edgy style? Our Shipwreck Coin Replica Necklace will be right up her alley. If she’d rather have a cool piece of jewelry she can wear every day than a sophisticated special occasion piece, she’ll love the Shipwreck Coin Replica Necklace. It even comes with a backstory...the original piece was created with a coin from the Santa Maria De La Consolacion, an ill-fated ship that set sea across the Atlantic in 1681. While the story itself doesn’t have a happy ending, your sweetheart will surely enjoy wearing a replica of an artifact.

- If you want to wow your valentine with a more sparkly selection, pick out a pair of Pave Hoops in Rose Opal. Featuring gold-plated hoops and rose opal crystals, they’re one of our most in demand designs—and the best part is, they look like they cost a lot more than their $175 price tag. They’ve also been spotted on stylish A-list celeb Hayden Panettiere.

Remember, shipping on all orders is free—and, if this is your first time buying from Pame Designs, we’ll add a free Montauk Pebble Necklace as our way of saying thank you.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Five Ways To Wear A Leatherette

- Friday, January 3, 2014

We believe that it’s perfectly acceptable to buy a piece of chic jewelry because you love it, even if it’s impractical or you can only wear it with one outfit. However, when it comes to our everyday accessories, versatility is vital. Our Leatherette is one of our most popular jewelry designs for that reason—not only can you wear it with practically any outfit, but it can be worn as a necklace, choker or a bracelet. Here are five ways you can rock your leatherette in any season:

1. Spruce up a long, cozy sweater and leggings by wearing your Leatherette as a double wrap necklace. Just wrap it twice around your neck for a mid-length necklace that’s sure to get noticed.

2. Accessorize a knit dress by wearing the Leatherette as a long necklace layered with a choker.  The small beads and pewter coins will add a subtle shimmer without overpowering your dress or the rest of your jewelry.

3. Class up a casual t-shirt and jeans by wearing it as a bracelet. Wrapping it around your wrist will give you the look of several bracelets in one.

4. During summertime, the Leatherette looks amazing when worn as a choker with a beachy sundress and sandals.

5. Layer it on! The Leatherette can be worn with bangles, a cuff or other necklaces. Its versatility will make it the go-to piece of jewelry you always reach for.

Style And Beauty Resolutions For 2014

- Friday, December 20, 2013

With less than two weeks remaining until we say hello to a brand new year, now is the time to focus on those 2014 resolutions. Oftentimes people focus on things like losing weight, saving more money or furthering themselves in their careers. And while those are all worthy and important goals, it’s also vital that we focus on the way we present ourselves to the world.

When we look good, we feel good. And when we feel good about ourselves, we’re much more likely to make positive changes in our lives and do nice things for others. Next year, try and develop your own personal sense of style—and if you’re already a fabulous fashionista, take your trendiness to new heights in 2014. Here are some ideas for style and beauty resolutions to inspire you:

1. Wash your face and moisturize before going to bed. Whether you’re 25 or 65, it’s very important to take care of your skin. Resolve to always wash your makeup off and slather on a good night cream.

2. Clean your makeup brushes at least every other Sunday. Bacteria and products can build up on your brushes easily, and it’s important to keep them clean.

3. Make an effort to learn at least one new makeup trend in 2014. Master the art of the smokey eye or finally learn to properly use liquid liner. Freshen up your face!

4. Expand your accessories collection. This could mean getting a few new scarves, buying a few belts or treating yourself to some Hollywood jewelry. Mixing up your accessories can alter the look of your entire outfit, so you’ll get more use out of your clothing.

5. Focus on your hands. So many women neglect their beautiful hands. Care for your cuticles, use lotion every day, get regular manicures and decorate those digits with some celebrity rings.

6. Break at least one fashion “rule” in 2014. These rules are made to be broken! Wear white after Labor Day, mix your prints… whatever makes you happy! Taking a risk once may inspire you to take more style risks in the future.

7. Learn to walk in high heels. Even if you’re a flats kind of girl, mastering the art of strutting in stilettos will make formal occasions less stressful.

8. Drink more water. This may not seem like a beauty or style resolution, but drinking more water throughout the day will make your skin glow and your skinny jeans fit.

9. Learn at least one new hairstyle in 2014. If you’ve got long locks, master the art of loose waves. If you have a bob, see if there’s a loose bun you can do.

10. This one is obviously our favorite: treat yourself to one new piece of chic jewelry per month (or every other month if you’re on a budget). You deserve to replace those cheap trinkets with investment pieces you can wear for years to come.

Hot Holiday Beauty Trends For 2013

- Friday, December 6, 2013

It’s hard to believe it, but in a few short weeks we’ll be saying goodbye to the year 2013. In the meantime, we’ll head to plenty of parties, attend some charity functions and celebrate the holidays with our loved ones. The holiday season is the perfect time to upgrade your style to something a little more magical. From the hottest holiday hairstyles to the perfect accessories, we’ll give you some inspiration for looking your best this time of year.

Hair Trends

Braids were huge throughout the year, and the holiday season is no exception. Get creative with the braided updos you’ve been wearing since summer by embellishing them with sparkly clips or small combs. If you prefer to wear your hair down and you’ve got some length, wear it sleek and straight with some product that makes it shine.

The top knot bun is also still trendy. Make it more festive with some small side twists. Wearing your hair in a top knot will make sure no one misses your chic celebrity earrings.

If you’re heading to a cocktail party or a glamorous gala, give your hair a deep side part and add some tight curls. Shake them out with your fingers and you’ll have elegant retro waves. Pin a sparkly clip on one side of your head and wear a pair of our Pave Hoops.

Make-Up Trends

When it comes to holiday make-up, two classic trends come to mind: red lipstick and glittery eyeshadow. Both are beautiful and elegant, though it’s best not to wear them at the same time. But for the 2013 holiday season, the trend to try is gold metallic eyeliner. Wear it both above and below the eye with a neutral eyeshadow and practically any lipstick.

For a lip color that will outlast every sip of champagne and every bite of sugar cookie, try a lip stain. Lip stains have stolen the scene this year, and they’re a perfect pick for the holiday season. Just make sure your lips are well moisturized before you apply, or try a dual formula that has a conditioning balm with the stain. Your color will last much longer that way.

Accessories Trends

This year’s holidays accessories have one thing in common: it’s all about the gold. Shimmery gold clutches, gold pumps and stilettos, gold watches and gold chains are the holiday party staples this year. Our gold Crushed Cuff With Green Moss Agate will add a chic shimmer to any winter ensemble, or you could complement your manicure with five golden rings.

2013 has been the year of ornate accessories, and the holiday season is known for its glitzy shimmer. So go ahead and pile on your best bling and your chic jewelry. Statement necklaces, chandelier earrings and unique bracelet designs are all popular picks this year. As always, just make sure to wear the accessories that best complement your outfit and make you

Five Pame Picks For Great Holiday Gifts

- Saturday, November 30, 2013

As we clear away the dishes from Thanksgiving dinner, our thoughts naturally turn toward holiday shopping. Whether you go all out on Black Friday or you’re a last-minute shopper, you’ve probably been thinking about your holiday gift-giving plan. And if that to-do list includes getting presents for the ladies in your life, we’d like to suggest the timeless, classy gift of jewelry.

We may be a bit biased, but we think jewelry makes a perfect gift for any loved one. Anyone who’s into fashion will appreciate getting some new accessories, especially the chic jewelry designs at Pame. Jewelry is a very personal gift, often requiring the giver to know the specific taste of the receiver. However, plenty of Pame pieces will make great gifts for any woman who likes to wear beachy resort jewelry or chic accessories. Here are five pieces that lend themselves to any look, making them ideal holiday gifts:

1. The Cut-Out Cuff, in either gold or silver. This hot piece of Hollywood jewelry has been seen on A-list actress Hayden Panettiere and Kristin Davis from Sex & the City, among other famous faces. Though the cuff is a timeless treasure, this cut-out version is totally on-trend. This piece is one of our most popular picks for a reason: it’s so versatile! The Cut-Out Cuff is the perfect gift to give a stylish best friend. She’ll be able to wear it with everything from her New Year’s Eve dress to her summertime bikini.

2. The Silver Stardust Pearl Wrap. Whether it’s your always elegant sister or your sophisticated mother-in-law, you’ve probably got a lady in your life who always looks classy. Treat her to this posh piece of beach jewelry, which can be worn as a bracelet or a necklace. Sterling silver stardust beads combine with 3 freshwater pearls to create this boho chic accessory any classy lady will love.

3. Give the gift of our Pave Hoops to anyone on your list who never leaves her home without a pair of earrings. They come with light topaz crystals, smokey quartz crystals or green opals. And they look amazing with practically any outfit.

4. Our Hand Brushed Lariat makes a beautiful holiday gift for someone extra-special: your best friend or your mother, for example. A blend of 14kt gold and sterling silver set against natural leather, this piece is truly unique. This luxurious necklace is 24” long, so her entire outfit will glisten with a subtle shimmer. What a beautiful gift for someone who deserves only the best!

5. Women’s taste in rings tends to be very diverse, but you can’t go wrong with the gift of our Gold Bar Ring. This ring is a pretty little piece of affordable elegance, featuring topaz-hued pave crystals in a gold-tone setting. Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz is a fan, and we know any lucky lady on your list will be too.

What To Wear To Thanksgiving Dinner

- Friday, November 22, 2013

If you’re not in charge of hosting Thanksgiving for your friends and family this year, be thankful that the turkey and trimmings are someone else’s project. Going to someone else’s home for Thanksgiving dinner means you get to relax and enjoy being a guest. And while it’s tempting to show up in stretchy sweatpants, the last thing you want to do is arrive underdressed.

Dressing up for Thanksgiving will vary quite a bit from person to person depending on their destinations and family atmosphere. But whether you’re enjoying a casual afternoon meal at a crowded table in your mom’s kitchen or a fancy evening five course soiree at your husband’s boss’s house, Thanksgiving is a fun opportunity to express yourself through your sense of style. We’ll give you three examples of Thanksgiving scenarios complete with ideas for stylish—and comfortable—ensembles.

Scenario: Dinner with the boyfriend’s family

Obviously you want to impress the people who may become your in laws, but you don’t want to come across as pretentious or stuffy, especially if
you’ve never met them. Unless you know them to be very formal people, jeans are fine as long as you dress them up. Wear a lacy camisole or a v-neck tee, a fitted blazer and a pair of pumps or ankle boots. Accessorize with some everyday chic jewelry like our soft Pink Pearl Choker or the 9 Freshwater Pearl Wrap. You’ll look so classically stylish and put-together you’ll win his mother over before she even tries your green bean casserole.

Scenario: Dinner at your parents’ place

No matter how long it’s been since you’ve lived with your parents, going home for the holidays may seem like a free pass to show up to Thanksgiving dinner in yoga pants and a sweatshirt. But this is not the case. You want your family to treat you like the mature adult you are, not the troubled teen you once were. Still, there’s no rule against dressing comfortably, especially when you know your mother will serve you a second helping of her famous mashed potatoes without you even having to ask.

Slip on a long sweater, a pair of leggings or skinny jeans and a pair of over-the-knee boots. Wear a chic scarf around your neck and add some celebrity jewelry, like the Cut-Out Cuff worn by Kristin Davis. Finish off the look with a pair of Pave Hoops and pull your hair into a comfortable up-do to show them off.

Scenario: Dinner with your best friends

Nothing beats sharing a holiday with your bff’s. A Friendsgiving dinner is the perfect time to wear an outfit that’s trendy but not outrageous or uncomfortable. Wear a classic sweater, a flared leather skirt, tights, and boots or flats. Give the ensemble some urban edge by adding the Shipwreck Coin Replica necklace. Finish it off with a bold berry lipstick and enjoy your food-filled ladies’ night.

Winter Resort Style: Ten Ski Resort Must-Haves

- Thursday, November 7, 2013

There’s no doubt about it: summer is an amazing season. But those of us who love to ski and snowboard eagerly anticipate winter as well. You might think you’ll be too bundled up at the ski resort to look fashionable, but the fact is, you can look just as stylish on your winter getaway as you do on your summer escapes. Pack these ten essential pieces into your bag and you’ll be ready to hit the town along with the slopes.

1. Boots that are cute and practical. Invest in a pair you can wear outdoors during the day and wear with a long sweater and a pair of leggings at night. There are plenty of boots out there that are durable enough for snow and stylish enough to wear to dinner. Finding a versatile pair you love will save you space to pack more essentials.

2. Pretty long underwear. It exists, and a cute printed thermal will keep you cozy all day and look darling peeking out from underneath your v-neck sweater at night.

3. Our Studded Zig Zag Cuff. Pop it on with your evening ensemble and watch it enhance the entire outfit. This chic jewelry is versatile, stylish and both trendy and timeless. Who says boho style jewelry is limited to summertime?

4. Several sweaters. The sweater is to a ski resort what the sundress is to a beach resort. You’ll want one for every evening, but you’ll also love having options if you take a long lunch break or hit the town for some shopping. Take a few long pullovers, chunky sweaters and cardigans to wear with your leggings, jeans and skinnies.

5. Stylish, warm accessories that will complement your ski clothes and your street clothes. Think hats, gloves, scarves and ear muffs in basic black, tan or trendy cobalt blue.

6. A Leatherette wrap. Since our Leatherette can be worn three ways, it already makes a perfect pick for a vacation. But this versatile, soft, stylish accessory adds instant sophistication to jeans and a sweater, making it a great choice for a ski resort. Wear your Leatherette as a necklace and the Zig Zag Cuff on your wrist when you go out for the evening and you won’t need any more jewelry.

7. Polarized sunglasses. They look great on the slopes and they’ll give your sweater and jeans look a bit of attitude. Winter sunshine can be surprisingly harsh, so pack a polarized pair.

8. A fleece jacket. Save the heavy, waterproof coat for the slopes and wear a cozy but chic fleece layer when you’re out and about.

9. Fuzzy socks for when you head to bed. This goes without saying!

10. Board games or other activities. You’ll want to relax by the fireplace after a day spent skiing or snowboarding, and making new friends is always in style.

How to Best Accessorize Two Wardrobe Basics

- Sunday, October 20, 2013

Every well-dressed woman knows a certain style secret: her wardrobe must have plenty of standard staples that can be worn with a wide variety of other pieces. The savvy female fashionista always makes sure that her closet contains plenty of basics, no matter how trendy the rest of her clothes are. The key is knowing how to change the look of these staples using the right accessories like bold scarves and chic jewelry.

Accessorizing is an art form, but it’s one that is easily mastered. To help you become more style savvy, we’ll take the two most common wardrobe staples and show you the best ways to accessorize them. Before you know it, you’ll be mixing and matching like you were born to be a style queen.

1. Whether she’s a posh professional or a beachy Bohemian, practically every woman’s wardrobe has a plain white button-up top. Crisp, clean and classic, this staple will never go out of style. Investing in one of these means having an array of wardrobe options for life since there are tons of ways to style them. Here are just a few suggestions:

- Keep it classic and wear your button-up with black pants, oxfords and a sleek black blazer. Add our Hand Brushed Lariat in Natural Leather or the Oblong Pave Nugget in Matte Gold.

- Go boho and wear it with a fringed denim skirt, strappy sandals and a Zig Zag Bangle layered with other skinny gold and silver bangles. Finish it off with a Gold Wave Necklace.

- For a casual-chic look, wear your button-up with jeans and ankle boots. Tie a printed scarf around your neck and use a statement ring to bring out the scarf’s hues. We love our Blossom Ring in Rose Quartz and our Deco rings for adding a pop of sophistication to this casual look. If it gets cold, layer on a long cardigan.

2. What closet would be complete without a little black dress? We realize there are many models of this timeless treasure, but to get the most versatility, we recommend getting a classic, simple silhouette with short or long sleeves rather than a fancy embellished or asymmetrical LBD. That way you can get several awesome ensembles out of one key piece.

- For a casual day out window shopping or perusing the Farmer’s Market, add a long cardigan and a printed pair of ballet flats to your dress. Layer our Moon Charm Necklace with a plain gold chain to add a little boho style jewelry to the mix.

- Wear your LBD to the office or a professional event by adding a colorful scarf, a posh jacket or blazer, and a pair of color coordinated pumps. We like red, emerald green and bold shades of blue best with black, but any color combination works. Finish off the ensemble with a pair of Faux Bois Wave Earrings. Simple jewelry paired with bold accessories make every woman look well-dressed.

- Get glammed up for date night by wearing your LBD with a pair of strappy heels, Green Beryl Drop Earrings and a Pave Ball Bangle. Don’t forget to carry a chic clutch!
