Pame Celebrity Jewelry Sighting

- Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Pame Designs’ celebrity jewelry was recently spotted on singer and WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia. Lilian was wearing our Aspen Cuff with Embossed Leather as she hung out at a Susan G Komen Mobile Mammogram Unit in Los Angeles on August 16, which was part of the WWE’s SummerSlam event.

Lilian wore her Hollywood jewelry cuff with a beautiful, flowing RD Style snakeskin dress from Shop Ambience. She was styled by celebrity wardrobe stylist Ali Levine, whose impressive list of credentials includes working on the set of In Time with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried and Kanye West’s World Throne Tour. Clearly Ali is a pro, as we love the pairing of our versatile Aspen Cuff with the breezy, casual-chic dress.

The Aspen Cuff with Embossed Leather is a popular piece of celebrity jewelry. It has also been worn by E! News star Kristina Guerero. The Aspen Cuff is also available in Studded Leather, Studded Leather in oxidized brass and Hair on Hide.

Fabulous Fall Trend: Ornate Accessories

- Thursday, August 22, 2013

This fall, when it comes to accessorizing with jewelry designs, we’re pleased to report that more is more. Ornate accessories are in style this season, and you don’t have to be afraid to pile them on. We’ve always loved to layer our necklaces, rock boho style earrings and line our fingers with pretty rings, so we’re pretty pumped about this news. Here are three chic jewelry trends to try this season:

1. Chain necklaces. While hardly a new concept, the classic chain necklace gets the style spotlight this year. Spotted on the streets of New York and Los Angeles along with the runway, this timeless trend will be everywhere in the seasons to come. Size, color and style don’t matter...this trend is as versatile as the chains themselves! You can either wear an oversized chain layered with another piece, or sport something more subtle like our Star Link Chain or Moher Choker.

2. Stacked rings. Stacked rings remained popular picks for spring and summer, and we’re so excited that they’re here to stay. We think even the most simple stacked rings look sophisticated and stylish. Our Pelota Stackable Rings come in sterling silver and gold. These chic jewelry pieces make great go-to accessories and will look perfect worn with anything in your closet.

3. Signature statement pieces. Do you already have a favorite statement piece you wear with practically everything? If not, get yourself a go-to accessory this fall…. and the bigger and bolder it is, the better! Noticeable pieces with unique shapes, lots of color or intricate details are officially in style. Nothing adds fancy flair to a tee and jeans or a simple solid-colored dress like an ornate statement piece.

Since we’re all about beach jewelry at Pame Designs, we like our Driftwood Necklace (which comes in both silver and gold) as a statement piece. Celebrities Taryn Manning and Giuliana Rancic have been spotted sporting our Gold-Filled Leatherette, which can be worn as a choker, necklace or bracelet. We love the idea of a signature statement piece being used in multiple ways… and don’t forget, leather is in style this season too! If you’re more of a bracelet kind of girl, perhaps our Aspen Cuff in Studded Leather is the chic jewelry you’ll want to reach for every day.

As always, your accessories are meant to be all about expressing your own unique sense of style. Get inspired by the current Hollywood jewelry trends and fashion magazines’ finds, then turn them into a style that’s all your own. Many of our signature pieces were designed to be worn together, alone or paired with the jewelry you already have. Conjure your inner child and play dress-up this year.

Five Tips to Transition Beach Style From Summer to Fall

- Wednesday, August 21, 2013

jewelry designsAt Pame Designs, we believe beach style is a state of mind. That means that for us, the breezy fashion of beach season is year-round! But for people who don’t live on the coast or in a tropical climate, it can be difficult to pull off that carefree boho style once summer fades to fall.

Luckily, some of this year’s fall fashion trends are very resort-ready. With the right pieces and accessories, you can look as if you were styled seaside even if you’re landlocked. Here are five tips to help you transition your beachy boho style from summer to fall:

1. Toughen up that lacy summer dress by adding a leather jacket for fall. Add a pretty pair of flats, wrap a Pame Leatherette around your wrist and you’ll have a luxurious laid back look.

2. Don’t pack up your white pieces after Labor Day...winter white will be in style this year! Choose weather-appropriate staples such as chunky knits and jackets that will feel good in the fall. If you own a white dress, just wrap a scarf around your neck, add a denim jacket and add a pair of our Pave Hoops

3. The luxurious look of leather is here to stay. Leather dresses were trendy this summer, and leather skirts will be huge this fall and winter. We’ve got plenty of leather pieces to help you accessorize in the coming seasons, the most versatile of which is our natural leather Hand-Brushed Lariat. One of our leather lariats has been spotted on Gwyneth Paltrow, a celebrity style icon who always looks effortlessly put together.

4. Did you get in on the crop top trend this summer? Weather permitting, you can still bare that midriff come fall. Just pair your crop top with high-waisted pants and tie the outfit together with a long necklace, such as our Pame Signature Lariat worn by Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum. Get creative like Hillary did and layer it with another necklace.

5. Printed pieces are a boho style staple, and luckily print-heavy pieces will be trendy this fall. Since a wildly printed top or dress will be your outfit’s main attraction, we suggest keeping accessories to a minimum. Our versatile and always stylish Pelota Stackable Rings are a perfect pick, adding a subtle sparkle to your digits while blending into any look.

Thanks to abundance of fall pastels and other transitional trends, this may be the easiest year ever to take your boho style from season to season. Get creative with your closet favorites and create your own unique look. The temperatures outside may be cooling down, but your sense of style is heating up.

Do You Have A Go-To Accessory?

- Thursday, August 15, 2013

It livens up any look, goes with practically every outfit you own and is an essential part of your signature style. Having a go-to accessory is truly time saver when you’re assembling your OOTD (outfit of the day) and can make packing a breeze when you travel. Many of our jewelry designs have the timeless, versatile style of a go-to piece.

When selecting a go-to accessory, keep your wardrobe in mind. If your closet is full of classic, polished pieces, you’ll want a piece of simple but chic jewelry such as an oblong pave nugget. If you’re a free-spirited fashionista, a moon charm necklace or more eclectic jewelry designs might better express your personal style. A go-to accessory should complement the majority of your clothing and should transition easily from a t-shirt and jeans to a date night dress.

Your go-to accessory should also be able to tie together a variety of outfits. If you’re packing for a beach getaway, a set of shimmery gold bangles will liven up a tank top and shorts during the daytime and add sophistication to a little black sundress at night. The more versatile the accessory, the fewer you will have to pack.

Do you currently have a go-to accessory?

What Kind of Pame Girl Are You?

- Tuesday, August 13, 2013

Jewelry is a very personal accessory and it says as much about you as the clothes you choose to wear. For quite some time, it was very common to hear women proclaiming their affinity for one metal over another, as in “I only wear (gold/silver etc). But in recent years, it’s become such a hot trend to mix metals and other materials that women have stepped out of their comfort zones to try all different kinds of options that they might not have before. And at Pame Designs, we’re huge fans of mixing it up. Whether you prefer to deck yourself out in one metal or mix it up with a few, check out our guide to our favorite metals, materials and stones and the perfect way to wear them!

Gold

We love our golden girls! Indulge your love of the luxe life with jewelry designs in this always-chic metal. Some of our favorite pieces include our gold-filled Leatherettes, and our Driftwood Necklace in Gold. If bold is your thing, check out our statement-making Cut-Out Cuff and Chiseled Bar Necklace as well as a host of other stunning pieces.

Silver

Simple, seductive silver is always in style. This go-with-everything metal is a timeless pick for chic boho style. Choose from our Driftwood Necklace in Silver — a beach jewelry must-have — to one of our gorgeous Crushed Cuffs in silver or our signature Nugget Leatherette Wraps with silver. Our silver pieces are also loved by many of our notable fans, such as Brooklyn Decker, Ashley Hinshaw, E! News star Kristina Guerrero and more!

Pearls

The pearl jewelry at Pame Designs is anything but boring! We mix our gorgeous South Sea Tahitian varieties with leather for a look that is stylish and easy. Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan and she wears her Pame Designs pearls with jeans and tee for an edgy look that is cool and chic! Find your faves, from our South Sea Pearl Wraps to Baroque Pearl Lariats and everything between.

Diamonds

Yes, it may sound convenient, but we think of diamonds as the perfect everyday stone to wear. They are effortless options whether you want something bold or lean more toward boho style. Go for a beach jewelry style with the Aquamarine and Diamond Choker on Leather or up the ante for an evening out with the Pame Designs Tourmaline, Labradorite and Diamond Necklace

Leather

Want to add the perfect edge to any look? Look to leather. As you may have noticed, it’s one of our favorite materials to use in our jewelry designs — from necklaces and cuffs to bracelets and more! We think it’s the perfect way to give precious materials an easily wearable vibe and add a fun boho style. One of our favorites includes our incredibly popular Leatherettes, which can be worn three different ways: as a necklace, choker or bracelet. Check out all the fabulous designs with this timeless classic!

Gold Plated Versus Gold Filled: What is the Difference?

- Tuesday, August 13, 2013

If you’ve spent some time browsing our jewelry designs, you’ve probably noticed that many of our pieces are labeled “gold filled.” Most people are familiar with gold plated jewelry, but many do not not know what gold filled means or that the two methods are not the same. There are a few key differences between gold plated and gold filled jewelry. For quality and consistency’s sake, we decided to use gold filled products when designing our chic jewelry.

Gold plating means depositing a thin layer of gold onto the surface of another metal. There are several ways to do this, the most common being chemical or electrochemical plating. This gives a metal wire or chain the attractive look of gold. Depending on the method or the thickness, the gold can wear off after long-term use. Gold plated jewelry can also tarnish, especially if the gold is plated on copper.

Gold filled jewelry is sometimes referred to as “rolled gold.” 14kt gold filled wire is made by forming a tube of solid 14kt gold that is “filled” with a base metal. Using heat and pressure, the gold is bonded to the base metal. So although there is a base metal inside, the exterior of the wire—and everything you see and touch—is solid gold. This is why it will not tarnish, chip or wear off.

Unlike gold plated jewelry, gold filled items are regulated by the government. The quantity of gold used in gold filled jewelry must be at least 1/20th the weight of the total product. When you buy a piece of gold filled jewelry, you can be sure it’s a high quality piece. Gold plated jewelry certainly isn’t all poor quality, but because of its lack of regulation, you can never be entirely sure of what you’re getting.

We like to consider Pame jewelry designs investment pieces for the wardrobe. We want you to be able to wear your chic jewelry designs for as long as you wish. Gold filled items are generally considered lifetime products since the gold layer will not wear off. Your pretty gold filled pieces will always look as beautiful as the day you bought them.

Gold filled jewelry is quite common and is even being called the wave of the future. It provides the same traits as solid gold such as beauty, durability, versatility and strength... and it allows you to enjoy high quality chic jewelry at a fraction of the cost.
